What I did not win

I like sharing my wins with you but I'd also like to tell you about something I was hoping to win but I didn't. For the last 2 weeks I was watching our local TV stations ( New Mexico's CW and My50-TV ) for a chance to win an iPad3 or a Kindle Fire. The challenge was to notice a hidden logo while watching How I Met Your Mother or spot a secret word popping up during Family Guy. The first contest was more difficult. They would usually get about 100 entries but one night they only had 6 correct answers! (the logo was located on a bright lamp and I missed it). The second contest was easy and many people entered each weeknight. I think it's been my third season playing these contests (they run twice a year). But I like sweepstakes and I support what's local so I will play again in the fall ! Did you enter these contests?

TODAY'S Big Event at Baillio's!

TODAY, May 12th, Baillio's is having a huge clearance event! 

Our couponing friend Lisa is taking part in the recipe contest cookoff that begins at 11:00 a.m. so I'm keeping my fingers crossed for her! After the cookoff and the winner of the Holland Grill is decided, they will be grilling up hot dogs!

Sam's Club National BBQ Tour! Free samples, Tips and More

There are a lot of cool events happening this weekend in the Duke City and many of them offer some FREE food to Burquenos!

Sam's Club, the official supplier of the Kansas City Barbeque Society, is bringing its National BBQ Tour to Albuquerque TODAY , May 12th from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

At the Sam's Club on Eubank Blvd. NE, local residents can taste samples and learn tips from sponsors and pros for better barbecues in your own backyard. We can also watch regional teams from five southwest states compete for the chance to win a portion of the grand prize worth $500,000.

Admission for attendance is FREE and open to the public. Have a great weekend!
