2015 New Mexico International Auto Show - a fun destination for the whole family !

This weekend, for the first time ever, I attended the New Mexico International Auto Show along with my family. I must admit we had a lot of fun and are already looking forward to the next show! We enjoyed the relaxed environment (with no pressure to buy!) and exploring more than 300 of the latest cars, trucks, SUVS and crossovers on the market. We were able to sit inside the vehicles and ask questions to manufacturer representatives.

I had no idea my daughter will be so interested in the cars! She wanted to check them all. The hands-on experience included opening the door, putting a seatbelt on and an imaginary drive :-)  She got to drive some children vehicles!

A great part of the experience was an opportunity to get behind the wheel and test drive the latest models right outside the Convention Center.

My husband drove 5 cars: Fiat 500c (convertible), Jeep Cherokee, Chrysler 300, Chrysler 200 and Dodge Challenger with a Scat Pack.

- What do you think about the cars you drove?

- Both of the larger cars that I drove impressed me in different ways but one particular way is that they drove smaller than they were. 300s was very responsive, unintrisive, with tons of space. It drove like a smaller car.

- Would you consider buying any of those vehicles?

- Yes, I would definitely consider buying a Fiat. And it made me think twice about the 200 (especially the options package surprised me). That said, I'd go back to the 300s. I would like to spend more time in that car. I was impressed by it.

- How was your overall experience with the Auto Show?

Very positive, everyone was friendly and accommodating. No sales pressure.

- Are you thinking of coming back next year?

- I want to come back today! I had fun!
